The Fude brush that links heaven and earth
The character, and calligraphy
Drawing them
Is praying from one’s heart
Aspiring to communicate with gods
Through “calligraphy”, “crafts-making in Japanese materials”
and “space coordination”,
I am challenging self-expression. A beauty worthy of time and place,
“the beauty of the whole”.
This, I believe, is what represents Japan.
Japan, the “spiritual culture” and “aesthetics” that its time and space have been forming.
To contemplate them to polish my spirit as a Japanese,
to convey to the world this beautiful figure of Japan, is my aspiration.
